Something Chris Coyier, Dave Rupert and I joked about recently was the idea of a stylesheet dedicated to housing your nasty, hacky, quick-fix CSS. I’ve been thinking a lot more about it lately and I reckon it’s actually a pretty good idea; here’s why…

I used to ignore CSS generators because I thought that there isn’t any use for them. This happened before CSS3 when I didn’t need a generator to create something, however with the gaining popularity that CSS3 had, I had to move towards it and start learning it to adapt to the new standards as most web designers did.

Notez que par interface graphique j'entends toute la partie visuelle, la GUI, l'Interface, l'IHM, le skin, le visage, la moumoute, appelez ça comme vous voulez, ça n'en restera pas moins la partie qui constitue la communication visuelle avec l'utilisateur on ne parle donc pas uniquement du design mais aussi de la structure, de l'ergonomie, des animations etc...

These days we have embeddable share and follower buttons for almost every aspect of the web, except of course for GitHub. I wanted to help remedy that, so over the weekend I created a customizable JavaScript button (that uses the GitHub API) for pulling in the watcher counts for links to any repositories you may have in a page. It gracefully degrades, comes in a few different flavours and is available to get now.
All that's needed to use the button is an a link to a specific repository (such as http://github.com/h5bp/html5-boilerplate). It doesn't need to be on your account, it can belong to anyone (which is particularly useful for groups and organizations that share repositories) and it's flexible, so it should work regardless of whether you have 8 watchers or 8,000.
